Anthropic and Accenture are forming a multi-year partnership combining enterprise implementation of Claude with independent safety evaluations of Anthropic’s frontier AI models. Each company plans to invest at least $1 billion over five years, with embedded evaluator teams receiving employee-level access to Anthropic’s model development, safety practices and deployment decisions. Accenture’s evaluators will red-team models, test safeguards and assess alignment with human objectives, while Anthropic retains responsibility for safety. The commercial effort includes training about 30,000 Accenture professionals on Claude, making Accenture a premier partner for Claude Code and establishing a joint center of excellence. Initial enterprise work will focus on engineering, value measurement and regulated sectors including financial services, healthcare, life sciences and the public sector.

Accenture embedding evaluators at Anthropic could bring useful outside perspective on model risks, but the real test is whether they can push back on internal priorities.
