Disney Raises Disney+ and Hulu Prices by 13% Starting Sept 23

Disney is raising prices for Disney+ and Hulu in the United States, with the changes taking effect Sept. 23 for new subscribers and appearing on existing customers’ next bills. Ad-free Disney+ and Hulu plans will each increase 13%, from $18.99 to $21.49 per month, while the ad-free bundle will rise $2 to $21.99. Standalone ad-supported plans will increase 50 cents to $12.49, while the ad-supported Disney+/Hulu bundle will remain $12.99. The increases mark the services’ fourth rate hike in four years and continue a broader streaming-industry trend of higher prices as companies pursue profitability, while Disney’s bundle pricing remains designed to discourage cancellations.
