Wegmans First Charlotte Store to Open in Ballantyne This Fall

Wegmans is set to open its first Charlotte store at 9 a.m. Oct. 14 in Ballantyne, drawing strong excitement from fans, including transplants from New York. The roughly 110,000-square-foot supermarket will offer traditional groceries alongside prepared foods such as sushi, pizza, hot meals, subs and bakery items. The location also features an outdoor dining and seating area with a children’s play space. Wegmans says it will work with local hunger-relief groups to donate unsold food to families in need.
