USDA Gives Kayem Recall Highest-Risk Classification
Kayem Foods is recalling 1,584,361 pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products after a warehouse cooling-system malfunction caused temperature deviations during storage. The products include hot dogs, bacon, sausages and deli meats sold under multiple brands and distributed to retail and food-service locations across the United States and Hong Kong. Made from March 31 through October 7, 2026, affected products carry establishment numbers EST. M/P 7839, EST. P 20935A or EST. M 9520; consumers should check the USDA’s full product and label lists. The USDA assigned the recall its highest risk classification, though no illnesses have been reported. Consumers should not eat affected items and should discard them or return them to the place of purchase.
