Connecticut Home Sales Span More Towns and Prices
Recent Connecticut home-sale roundups covered transactions across numerous towns, with reported prices ranging from $170,000 in Killingworth to $3.65 million in Deep River; top sales also approached $2 million in Avon and reached $950,000 in East Lyme. Earlier town-by-town figures included sales from $250,000 to $660,000 in Canton, six Enfield sales with a $322,000 median, five Suffield sales with a $594,000 median, six Windsor sales with a $365,000 median, and seven Oxford sales with a $730,000 median. Listings included single-family homes, condos, manufactured homes and multifamily properties, as well as large-lot and historic houses. Separate open-house listings featured five properties in Granby and East Granby, priced from $280,000 to $875,000. The reports caution that these small groups of transactions do not establish townwide price trends. Nationally, September existing-home sales rose 1.5% from August but were down 2.2% year over year, while pending sales fell 7.3% month over month; Northeast sales declined year over year even as regional prices increased.
