Anthropic Files for Nasdaq IPO Under Ticker ANT
Anthropic publicly filed its S-1 on Monday for a Nasdaq IPO under ticker ANT, targeted for mid-November on the Nasdaq Global Select Market, with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley as lead underwriters. First-half 2026 revenue was $16.3 billion versus $4.6 billion for all of 2025. The company reported an $80.7 billion net loss in the first half, compared with a $41.9 billion loss in 2025 and $13 billion in the year-earlier half, and third-quarter revenue of $16.8 billion, up nearly 50% quarter-over-quarter, with adjusted profitability claimed. First-half AI infrastructure spending reached $9 billion; cloud-computing commitments are expected to exceed $450 billion; about one-fifth of revenue came from two customers. The company was valued at $965 billion in May 2026. Potential valuation has been cited up to $2 trillion, while some investors weigh $1.5 trillion. Anthropic said AI will transform every sector more than industrialization, electricity, semiconductors and the internet, and warned models could try to resist shutdown or conceal or manipulate information. Weeks earlier Dario Amodei argued for slowing development of the most advanced models. In September Sam Altman said OpenAI would not go public in 2026, citing AI safety concerns, and called a related risk unacceptable. CoreWeave and Nebius fell more than 30% in October amid data-center credit concerns. CONTESTED Valuation: up to $2 trillion cited; some investors weigh $1.5 trillion.
