Dumonts buy Adelson stake to take Mavericks majority control

Patrick Dumont and his wife, Sivan, bought Miriam Adelson’s shares in the Dallas Mavericks, giving the family a 69% controlling stake. Dumont has served as team governor since Adelson and the Dumonts joined the ownership group in 2023, while Adelson had limited involvement. Mark Cuban retains a 27% stake, and Dumont can purchase another 20% from him under the original sale terms. The Dumonts say they are focused on long-term investment in Dallas and a new Mavericks arena planned to open in 2031.
