Buttigieg plans campaign stops in Michigan, Mississippi

Pete Buttigieg plans to campaign for Mississippi Democratic Senate nominee Scott Colom along the Gulf Coast on Oct. 27, a week before the midterm election. Buttigieg praised Colom as a community-rooted leader able to work across differences; Colom is challenging Republican Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith, with independent Ty Pinkins also in the race. Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock is also scheduled to campaign for Colom in Jackson, joining a series of prominent Democrats who have recently visited the state to support his bid.
