BYD Rolls-Royce Rival Expected in Abu Dhabi

Rolls-Royce is marking 120 years since the Silver Ghost’s 1906 public debut, celebrating the model credited with establishing the marque’s reputation for refinement and engineering; production continued until 1925, with 6,173 cars built. A 1931 Rolls-Royce 20/25 once owned by Hollywood stars Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford is now featured in an Art Deco exhibition at the San Diego Automotive Museum. Separately, BYD has revealed its upcoming Yangwang Altior, an ultra-luxury electric sedan designed to rival Rolls-Royce and Mercedes; spy images show a Ghost-like exterior, while its specifications and price have yet to be confirmed.
