California ICE Operations Draw Protests, Clashes
Reports across California describe increased ICE activity and community concern, including out-of-state vehicles reportedly staying at hotels in Pleasanton and Livermore as residents organized monitoring and protests. In Stockton, protesters outside an ICE facility said they were pushed, maced and driven from the property while agents carried PepperBall launchers, amid circulating videos of arrests in the area. At San Joaquin Delta College, officials who identified themselves as ICE agents were seen in a perimeter parking lot; they said they were not conducting enforcement and later left, but college leaders said their presence alarmed students and disrupted campus life. Separately, local groups reported that a woman and a minor were injured when ICE agents fired rubber bullets at protesters during an operation in Lake Forest.
