Canada’s Largest Asian Grocer Opens San Francisco Store
T&T Supermarket, Canada’s largest Asian grocery chain, opened its first San Francisco store at City Center on Geary Boulevard, drawing crowds that began lining up hours before the doors opened. The roughly 50,000-square-foot location offers a wide range of Asian produce and groceries, prepared foods, bakery items and beauty products, and features the chain’s first U.S. café. CEO Tina Lee said San Francisco’s permitting process was the fastest the company has experienced in the United States, after the site had sat vacant for years. The opening is part of T&T’s California expansion, following its San Jose debut, with additional locations planned around the state.
