Cancer Fundraisers Planned Across US Communities

Several community fundraisers are supporting cancer research, awareness and care. Sam’s Pizza in Buckhannon will donate part of its Nov. 1 sales to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, continuing an annual event honoring owner Sam Nolte’s father, who died of pancreatic cancer. In Panama City, the 10th annual Witches of St. Andrews Ride for a Cure paired treats for children with fundraising for cancer care. A Fayetteville event on Oct. 30 will raise money for Hope Cancer Resources, which supports people and families affected by cancer in Northwest Arkansas. Another fundraiser at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds is focused on pancreatic cancer awareness.
