Candidates Hold, Schedule Debates Across Races
Candidates in two congressional races are taking part in debates ahead of the Nov. 3 election. In New York’s 22nd District, incumbent Democrat John Mannion and Republican challenger Kailee Buller debated the war with Iran, energy costs, and the cost of living; both opposed a prolonged conflict, while Mannion criticized the president’s approach and Buller stressed her ability to work with the administration. In Pennsylvania’s 11th District, Republican incumbent Lloyd Smucker and Democratic challenger Nancy Mannion are scheduled to debate Friday in what is described as their only planned debate before Election Day. The forum will include moderator questions and written questions from the audience.
