Candidates make election pitches across local forums
Candidates in Rhode Island’s gubernatorial race debated taxes, government spending, and ways to reduce housing and health care costs in a final televised appearance before Election Day. Candidate forums also brought together contenders for a Wisconsin congressional seat, Fort Myers Beach Town Council, and several local and federal offices in Duplin County, North Carolina. In Nevada, the first weekend of early voting drew thousands of voters, while candidates including Attorney General Aaron Ford urged people to vote and emphasized affordability; Gov.
