Captrust Adds $3B Truist Advisory Team

Captrust Financial Advisors has recruited the 13-person Hoge-Barrett Group from Truist Investment Services, adding a Winston-Salem, North Carolina, team that manages more than $3 billion in client assets. Led by Brett Hoge, the team says Captrust offers greater flexibility alongside expanded technology, investment research and wealth-planning resources for clients with complex and multigenerational needs. Hoge also cited Captrust’s employee-ownership culture as a factor in choosing the firm over launching an independent practice; some team members received equity. The move adds Captrust’s seventh North Carolina office and reflects its continued recruitment of large advisory teams.
