Cardinals Name Minshew Starting Quarterback

The Arizona Cardinals are moving forward with Gardner Minshew as their starting quarterback after he came off the bench to lead a 33-30 overtime comeback against the Dallas Cowboys, throwing for 188 yards and three touchdowns. Coach Mike LaFleur also elevated rookie Carson Beck to the backup role, giving him more practice reps and the team a better chance to assess his development. Jacoby Brissett, who started the first eight games, is being shifted out of the rotation, and the Cardinals are reportedly working on a trade to send him to the Baltimore Ravens, though the terms remain unclear.
