Catena Media Revenue Falls 29%, Cuts Growth Target

Catena Media warned that third-quarter revenue fell 29% year over year to €8.3 million and adjusted EBITDA dropped to €0.7 million, even after a €0.7 million benefit from reversing employee bonus provisions. The affiliate marketing company withdrew its goal of double-digit organic revenue and adjusted EBITDA growth in 2026 and expects a €30 million to €35 million non-cash impairment of intangible assets. Catena attributed the results to AI-driven changes in online search that are reducing website traffic, weaker traditional search rankings and lower marketing budgets from some operator partners during the seasonal summer slowdown. CEO Manuel Stan said the company’s reliance on cost-per-acquisition deals makes it particularly exposed to these shifts; Catena says it is pursuing diversification, including the TraffiqX project and new verticals.
