CenterPoint Expands Capital Plan to $70.7B

CenterPoint Energy proposed a 2027–2029 investment plan to modernize its Minnesota natural-gas system, including replacing aging pipeline, adding advanced meters and improving safety and reliability for customers during high-demand winter periods. Separately, its foundation committed an additional $1 million to southwestern Indiana’s Home Repair and Care Program, which funds energy-saving repairs for customers; CenterPoint says completed projects have reduced participating households’ energy use by about 10% on average. The company also used an Evansville community event marking Energy Assistance Awareness Day to connect families with winter bill assistance and other customer-support resources.
