At WWE’s Oct. 29, 2026, live event in Youngstown, Ohio, Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable scored a surprise non-title pinfall victory over CM Punk after a series of near-falls and reversals. Punk acknowledged Gable’s win afterward by raising his arm and, according to one account, shaking his hand. The show also included several championship matches, with Sami Zayn retaining the Undisputed WWE Championship in a triple threat against Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens.
