Champions Oncology Reports $15.2 Million Q1 Revenue
Champions Oncology reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $15.2 million, up 8.8% year over year, while adjusted EBITDA increased to $671,000 from $59,000 and marked the company’s fifth consecutive quarter of positive adjusted EBITDA. Translational oncology services revenue reached $14.3 million, and the segment’s margin improved to 51% from 43% as in-house radiolabeling reduced costs and higher revenue created operating leverage. Data licensing revenue rose to $893,000, surpassing the total for all of fiscal 2026, as the company expanded its customer base and sought broader applications for its clinically annotated oncology data. Champions ended the quarter with about $4.4 million in cash and no debt, despite reporting a GAAP net loss of approximately $426,000. Separately, the company expanded its radiopharmaceutical development platform with in-house SPECT/CT imaging, enabling longitudinal tracking of drug uptake alongside biodistribution and therapeutic-response data in patient-derived tumor models.
