Channing Tatum Says Vulnerability Is Hardest Part of Fatherhood

Channing Tatum said fatherhood has taught him that he cannot always appear invincible to his daughter, Everly. During a Q&A at the Toronto International Film Festival, he recalled telling her, “I’m just not okay right now” after he was hurt, describing vulnerability as one of the hardest parts of parenting. Tatum said his role in Josephine, in which he plays a father helping his young daughter cope with trauma, prompted him to reflect on his own parenting, communication and childhood. He shares Everly with his ex-wife, Jenna Dewan, and has also spoken about how quickly she is growing up.
