Charleston Battery Beat Indy, Secure No. 2 Seed

Charleston Battery beat Indy Eleven 1-0 in the USL Championship regular-season finale at a sold-out Patriots Point, with Colton Swan scoring the winner in the 78th minute. The victory, alongside Detroit City FC’s draw with Louisville City, moved Charleston into second place in the Eastern Conference and set up a playoff opener at home on Oct. 30. Indy needed a win to reach the postseason, and the loss ended its season; it also sent Miami FC into the playoffs for the first time since 2022. Charleston goalkeeper Luis Zamudio recorded three saves for the clean sheet.
