Offside Calls and Missed Chances Leave Chelsea, United at 0-0
Chelsea and Manchester United went into halftime scoreless at Stamford Bridge after an open first half in which United created the clearer chances. Matheus Cunha’s apparent goal from a corner was ruled out for offside, while Chelsea also had an effort disallowed for offside. Amad Diallo missed several promising opportunities, and Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo also came close for United; Chelsea threatened through Pedro Neto, whose shot went narrowly wide. United’s pressure highlighted Chelsea’s defensive struggles, but neither side could convert its chances before the break.
