Chicago Man Convicted in Terre Haute Teen Sex Trafficking
A federal jury in Indianapolis found 31-year-old Chicago resident Jacquez “Joc” Brown guilty of sex trafficking a minor, sexually exploiting a child, and three counts of distributing child sexual abuse material after a three-day trial. The case began in December 2022, when an emergency text alerted Vigo County dispatchers that a 15-year-old girl was being prostituted at a Terre Haute motel; police found the girl with Brown. Prosecutors presented evidence that Brown arranged commercial sex acts involving the girl, took explicit images of her, and distributed images and advertisements to attract buyers. Investigators’ review of messages and digital evidence linked Brown to the trafficking activity. Brown will be sentenced at a later date.
