Chinese Restaurants Face Closures, Renovations Across US
Several Chinese restaurants are facing closures or relocations. Westerville’s Q2 China Bistro plans to permanently close its Polaris Parkway location on Oct. 28 after 20 years; it gave no reason, but suggested it may serve customers in new ways or at another location. In Columbus, Chef Lee’s Peking Restaurant is closed for renovations expected to last several months, and its website says it plans to move to a former Golden Corral building, though timing and plans remain unconfirmed. New York City’s Empire Szechuan Kyoto was temporarily closed after a health inspection found food-safety and pest violations; it can reopen after correcting them and passing a follow-up inspection.
