Cincinnati WR JV Gibson Discharged, Returns With Team
Cincinnati wide receiver JV Gibson was taken off the field on a stretcher after a hard hit by Houston safety Jordan Allen late in Saturday’s game, prompting a 16-minute delay as medical personnel stabilized him. Allen was called for targeting and ejected after review. Cincinnati reported that Gibson was alert and moving all his extremities, and coach Scott Satterfield said he was taken to a Houston hospital for precautionary tests. The team later said Gibson was traveling back with the Bearcats; Cincinnati lost the game 31-24.
