Cities Across US Schedule Extensive Roadwork

Road paving and repair work is scheduled in several communities during the week of Oct. 19, 2026, with work plans subject to changes from weather or other conditions. In Catskill, paving on Main Street will bring a weekday no-parking restriction from Thompson Street to Dutchman’s Landing, with vehicles towed and alternate parking available at Dutchman’s Landing. Pittsburgh is continuing its citywide resurfacing program, which also includes curb-ramp upgrades and repairs to other types of streets. Staten Island crews will conduct paving and maintenance work, potentially causing detours and closures. In Virginia, highway projects include bridge replacements, road reconstruction and intersection work; drivers should expect closures, lane restrictions or delays in affected areas.
