Cities plan emergency siren tests
Several communities have scheduled emergency siren tests for October 6 and 7. Fargo will evaluate its outdoor warning system on Tuesday and Wednesday, with short tests of individual sirens Tuesday, the regular monthly test Wednesday, and a possible additional full-system test if needed; officials advise residents to check trusted local sources if they hear a siren outside testing. Patna will conduct a technical test Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m., including warning and all-clear signals, and says it is unrelated to an actual emergency. Allen County, Ohio, will hold its monthly test of 50 community warning sirens at noon Wednesday; during a real emergency, residents should go indoors and tune to local news for updates.
