Cities seek submissions, feedback for public art
Cities and community groups are inviting artists and residents to help shape public spaces through new art and park projects. Santa Clarita is seeking nationwide submissions for two trail sculptures to be displayed from 2027 to 2030, while Santa Maria is inviting regional artists to design a nature-inspired wrap for a shaded bench at Jim May Park. In Dallas’ Casa View neighborhood, residents are being asked to suggest themes and features for a proposed sculpture at Harry Stone Park, including ideas that reflect the area’s Hispanic community and improve access. Milwaukee officials are also collecting public feedback on two concepts for Red Arrow Park, weighing more greenery against space for skating and other activities.
