Cities shape plans across Southeast
Asheville City Council has begun developing the city’s first strategic plan, covering 2027–2032, to set priorities and guide major decisions. Unlike the city’s existing land-use and neighborhood plans, the strategy is expected to establish measurable goals and accountability systems for tracking progress. Its priorities could shape future budget allocations and decisions about new programs. The effort is funded with $100,000 in federal Tropical Storm Helene recovery money.
