Clarksville Gas and Water schedules five water outages for repairs

Clarksville Gas and Water reported water service interruptions across several areas for repairs and replacements. Work on Lafayette Road affected the area from North Liberty Church Road to 1303 Lafayette Road, with service expected to return by about 5 a.m. Tuesday, October 20; repairs on Idlewood Drive were expected to conclude around 1 p.m. Franklin Street was closed between University Avenue and South Fifth Street for a water-main leak repair, with traffic detoured to Commerce Street and Grant Avenue. On October 22, a valve replacement on Pine Mountain Road was scheduled from 8 a.m. to about 4 p.m., closing the road at Woodbury Drive and routing traffic via Paddy Run Road and Howell Drive. A separate hydrant replacement on Crossland Avenue was planned overnight from 8 p.m. October 22 to 6 a.m. October 23, with westbound traffic shifted to the inner lane; low pressure was possible near several work sites.
