Clinton Campaigns for Jolly in Florida Governor Race

Former President Bill Clinton campaigned Tuesday with Democratic Florida gubernatorial nominee David Jolly at an interfaith event in the Hollywood area, seeking to energize supporters as early voting began. Jolly said he believed Democrats could win the governor’s race, while Republican nominee Byron Donalds campaigned separately in The Villages. Polls described the contest as competitive, with some showing Donalds ahead and others indicating a tighter race. Clinton’s visit was part of Democrats’ late-campaign effort to bolster Jolly against Donalds, who has strong political and financial advantages.
