Clover Health names Torricelli and Miller to nine-member board

Clover Health appointed former U.S. Sen. Robert Torricelli and MedPAC Commissioner Dr. Brian J. Miller to fill two vacancies on its board, bringing it to nine members. Torricelli will serve on the Audit Committee, drawing on his federal policy and healthcare financing experience and prior service on Clover insurance subsidiary boards; Miller will join the Clinical Committee, bringing clinical practice and Medicare policy expertise. The company said their backgrounds will strengthen its governance and help guide efforts to improve care, operate more efficiently and navigate Medicare Advantage policy.
