College basketball conferences are holding preseason media days ahead of the 2026-27 season, bringing coaches and players together to discuss preparations and expectations. The ACC’s media events were underway in Charlotte on Oct. 5, while Mississippi Valley State representatives were scheduled for the SWAC showcase in Birmingham on Oct. 6 and 7. Washington’s coach and two players are set to represent the Huskies at Big Ten Media Days on Oct. 7, with live coverage on BTN; the team opens its season Nov. 2. The Ivy League will hold its women’s media day online Oct. 8, featuring all eight schools, and says its season begins Nov. 2. The CAA and The Field of 68 will host a joint media day Oct. 15, with separate men’s and women’s shows and interviews with coaches from the league’s 26 programs.
