College Teams Play, Prepare for Exhibitions

James Madison opened its exhibition schedule with a 90-81 win over Richmond, showcasing a guard-heavy rotation led by Paul Jones III and transfer guard Windham as the Dukes introduce a largely revamped roster. Kansas and Louisville were set to meet in the second game of their home-and-home exhibition series, with Louisville bringing former Jayhawk Flory Bidunga and Oregon transfer Jackson Shelstad into a roster built heavily through transfers. At an open practice, Miami displayed greater depth and defensive energy than last season, with coach Jai Lucas aiming for balanced scoring and consistent effort across the rotation. Florida was also scheduled to play Baylor in its first public competition ahead of the 2026-27 season.
