Columbia Italian Festival postponed amid storm threat

Columbia’s Italian Festival has been postponed one week because of a forecast for rainy and potentially severe weather, moving from Oct. 10 to Saturday, Oct. 17, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Finlay Park. Organizers said the change is intended to protect attendees, vendors, performers and volunteers and give the returning festival the chance to go ahead as planned. The free event, returning for the first time since 2014, will feature Italian food, local vendors, live music and cultural performances, children’s activities and Ferrari displays.
