Columbus Meth Dealer Pleads Guilty, Faces Life
Demetric Thomas, 38, of Columbus, Georgia, pleaded guilty to distributing methamphetamine after a multi-agency federal investigation. Authorities said controlled purchases in May and October 2025 involved more than 200 grams of meth, and a search of the residence later uncovered nearly 90 grams more, cash, cocaine, crack cocaine, ecstasy, scales, baggies and a stolen handgun. Thomas faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in federal prison and a maximum sentence of life, along with up to five years of supervised release and a fine of up to $10 million; sentencing has not been scheduled. The case was investigated as part of Operation Take Back America.
