Comcast Plans Significant Job Cuts in Restructuring
Comcast is planning significant job cuts across its cable-TV, broadband and wireless operations as part of a restructuring ahead of the planned 2027 separation of NBCUniversal and Sky. The company says the changes are intended to make the business more agile and free up funds for growth, as it loses cable customers to streaming and faces stronger broadband competition from fiber and fixed-wireless providers. Comcast has not disclosed how many jobs may be affected; the reductions could be announced in the coming weeks. The company is also offering five-year internet price guarantees and a free wireless line for one year to attract and retain customers.
