Spaghetti dinners raise funds for schools, medical bills and veterans
Community organizations are holding spaghetti dinners for a range of purposes. St. Agatha Academy’s annual dinner served about 1,000 people, with proceeds supporting the school and a silent auction adding to the event. A benefit in Jewett will raise money for Irene Kelley’s medical expenses after lung cancer surgery, while Wyoming United Methodist Church is planning a ticketed dinner fundraiser. The Kiwanis Club of the Jackson Area recently served a dinner alongside live music and fellowship as part of its community activities, and Christ Lutheran Church in Vienna is offering veterans and their families a free spaghetti dinner in appreciation of their service.
