Police Departments in Two Cities Host Informal Coffee Gatherings
Police departments in Waynesboro, Georgia, and Evansville, Indiana, are inviting residents to informal coffee gatherings designed to encourage conversation between the public and law enforcement. Waynesboro’s “Coffee with the Chief,” hosted by Huddle House, will feature Chief Willie J. Burley and department members answering questions and hearing community concerns. Evansville’s “Coffee with a Cop” will take place at Revival Coffee inside Hills Church, where residents can speak with officers, including Sgt. Anthony Aussiker, in a relaxed setting. The events are intended to build relationships and foster open, nonconfrontational dialogue between officers and the communities they serve.
