Community Bike Rides Promote Awareness, Safer Streets

Community bike rides are bringing cyclists together for causes ranging from domestic violence awareness to safer streets and better transportation connections. In Gonzales, Louisiana, a ride organized by Help and Hope Ascension honored survivors and encouraged people experiencing abuse to seek support, with a walk and rally planned as a follow-up. In Macon, Georgia, Bike Walk Macon’s annual ride will highlight local street-safety and trail projects while promoting continued investment in transportation options. In Washington, D.C., the BellRinger ride will prompt morning street closures along parts of M Street, Canal Road and Clara Barton Parkway, with motorists advised to expect delays and follow parking restrictions.
