Cooley Powers Flames to First Home Back-to-Back Wins

Devin Cooley backstopped the Calgary Flames to consecutive home wins, stopping 36 shots in Thursday’s 2-1 victory over Minnesota after helping beat Carolina 3-2. Calgary’s power play scored twice in the first period against the Wild, and the wins lifted the Flames to 3-6-0. Cooley said he is focused on his process rather than outside talk that the team should lose to improve its draft position. With starter Dustin Wolf off to a slow start, Cooley’s strong performances could earn him more playing time; he was expected to start Saturday against Detroit.
