Costco draws thousands to new Idaho and California warehouses

Costco is expanding with new warehouses in several markets. In southern Ontario, stores in Wasaga Beach and Windsor were scheduled to open Nov. 21 and Nov. 20, respectively; the Wasaga Beach location is expected to bring more than 370 jobs and include a gas bar, tire center and seasonal garden center. In Meridian, Idaho, the new Lake Hazel and Meridian roads warehouse drew thousands on opening day, making the city the first in the state with two Costcos; the store includes a large-item delivery operation and a 16-pump fuel station. Costco also opened a Camarillo, California, warehouse to a large crowd, with about 900 parking spaces filled before the doors opened.
