Costco plans first 165,000-square-foot Cape Coral store

Cape Coral plans to bring its first Costco to 600 Chiquita Boulevard South, with a roughly 165,000-square-foot warehouse and a members’ fueling facility. City Council is scheduled to consider an incentive package of up to $10 million for site development and impact fees. City officials say the project will add jobs and give residents a closer alternative to shopping at Costco locations in Fort Myers. No opening date has been announced; it will depend on Costco’s construction timeline.
