Country Stars Honor Dolly Parton at Nashville Tribute
Country stars gathered in Nashville on Oct. 21 for a televised tribute to Dolly Parton, who died Aug. 25 at 80, performing hits including “Jolene,” “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You.” Reba McEntire sang “He’s Alive,” echoing Parton’s 1989 CMA performance, while Kelsea Ballerini led the crowd in “Here You Come Again”; the special concluded with an all-star rendition of “I Will Always Love You.” The two-hour program could not cover Parton’s extensive catalog, leaving out favorites such as “My Tennessee Mountain Home.” Parton’s legacy also inspired a new live “9 to 5” recording by American Idol winner Hannah Harper, filmed at Dollywood and released as a single.
Where do you stand?
