Court Cancels Sanchez Plea Hearing, Civil Suit Settled
Mark Sanchez’s change-of-plea hearing in his Indiana criminal case has been rescheduled to Jan. 25, 2027, after court records initially showed it had been canceled. The judge previously assigned to the case, Helen W. Marchal, recused herself without giving a reason; Judge Angela Dow Davis is now assigned to hear it. Sanchez’s attorneys filed paperwork indicating he intends to plead guilty, but it remains unclear which charges are covered, and no sentencing date has been set. The charges stem from a 2025 altercation with truck driver Perry Tole outside an Indianapolis hotel, in which both men were injured. Tole’s separate civil lawsuit against Sanchez and Fox Sports has reached a settlement, but the criminal case remains unresolved.
