Cowboys Downplay Prescott Hand Injury Before Buccaneers Game
Dak Prescott is expected to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a defender stepped on his throwing hand during Dallas’ win over Houston, causing a small cut and swelling. Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said there are no concerns, and Prescott practiced without being listed on the team’s injury report. Prescott said he expects to be at 100% for the short-week matchup. He completed 32 of 45 passes for 335 yards and a touchdown against Houston, including the late game-winning scoring pass to CeeDee Lamb. Guard Tyler Smith could also return, depending on how his thumb feels after practice.
