Crane NXT Draws Moderate Buy Ratings

Crane NXT has a consensus “Moderate Buy” rating from eight brokerages, with an average 12-month price target of $66.83. Jefferies recently initiated coverage with a Buy rating and a $60 target, arguing that investors may undervalue the company’s security and authentication technology, manufacturing capabilities, and growth opportunities beyond its legacy banknote business. The bullish call comes as the stock has fallen about 25% over the past year, amid acquisition costs and slower sales in parts of its older hardware business. Crane NXT’s latest reported quarter exceeded analyst expectations, with earnings of $1.10 per share and revenue of $493.2 million, both higher than consensus estimates.
