Crews Extinguish Fires in California, New Mexico

Firefighters extinguished a fire in the attic of a commercial restaurant on North Las Posas Road in Camarillo after attacking it from inside and the roof; no injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation. In Las Cruces, crews knocked down a fire at a single-story home on Cadiz Court within five minutes, with the cause also under investigation. Separately, Cal Fire/Riverside County crews extinguished a blaze in an abandoned building in the 23500 block of Z Street shortly after responding to a report of smoke.
