Cross-Country Teams Post Championship Finishes Across Meets

Hartford placed fifth among 10 teams at the Conference of New England women’s 6K championships, led by Sophia Rebenciuc’s fifth-place finish. RIT finished fourth at the Liberty League women’s championships, where a senior Tiger took second individually, while Vassar won the team title. Penn State’s women placed third at the Big Ten championships, two points behind runner-up Northwestern, with Katie Dallas leading the team in 12th; the Nittany Lion men tied for eighth. In Minnesota, both Mt. Lake Area teams qualified for the Class A state meet by finishing second at their section championships, with Cooper Evers taking second individually for the boys. South Dakota’s Herreid/Selby Area girls finished fourth at the Class B state meet, led by medalists Della Ernst and Evelyn Shearer.
